It’s Geography! This course is all about the environment and people and understanding how nature and people interact. 

In term one, we will look at the location of things.

• Where they are
• Why they are there 
• The impact of them being there.

We will start with understanding our own environment of Canterbury before looking at some case studies which could include things like: 

• Towns and cities 
• Mountains and volcanoes 
• Wetlands
• Earthquakes or tropical cyclones

Along the way, we will consider challenges that people face relating to the environment in preparation for a 5 Credit external assessment later in the year.

In term one there will be a 5 Credit internal assessment (91932)

Throughout the year, this course will offer 15-20 Level One NCEA credits.
