Hapori
A Hapori course is a non-curricular focused learning experience driven by student passion. Rooted in the concept of "hapori" or community, these courses empower students to explore diverse topics outside the traditional curriculum, fostering collaboration and a sense of ownership over their learning. With a focus on self-directed exploration, Hapori courses encourage students to pursue their interests, ranging from creative arts to technology and social issues. This initiative reflects our commitment to cultivating well-rounded individuals who are not only academically proficient but also deeply connected to their passions and the broader community.
This is for those of you who have sporting and fitness goals that you would like to achieve. You can either have them already on the go, or you can start now!
In this course we will:
- Learn about the Anatomy and Physiology of the human body
- Complete games and activities (in the gym, offsite and in the classroom) to understand Anatomy and Physiology of the human body
- Identify your fitness goals
- Make your own fitness training plans
- Complete your own fitness training plans
PLEASE NOTE TWO THINGS:
- This is not an opportunity for credits (I want the focus to be on understanding the body and training plans, not credits).
- There is a mixture of in class and gym/ offsite work. (There will always be practical time in the week).
Any questions, come and have a chat to Alex.
