Magazines & Logos

Junior introduction to media studies.  In term one we will look at journalism and design.

Design will look at designing a brand from the beginning to building a logo for a chosen brief such as advertisements for magazines or posters for events.

We need journalists. This class will also focus on developing journalism skills by looking at factual writing in interesting ways to capture an audience.  As your skill develops we will use your writing work to then design pages to present in a magazine.

Students will be able to; 

• take notes for a report,
• short radio report,
• long radio report,
• listen to information and write a report,
• design a logo for a chosen brief,
• design a page for a magazine,
• design a magazine for publication,
• design a poster for an event.
