Intro to Art-History-Design

This is a new course to Ao Tawhiti and will include exploring the work of different designers, architects and artist. In this term we will begin to explore the main ideas in the course. Architecture, Jewellery Design and Graffiti Art will all be covered. We will explore the concept of design thinking and examine a number of important architects, artists, styles and time periods. Students will begin to experiment with different areas of artistic design and will develop a focus for the year. The course for the year is geared towards a portfolio of work with assessments available in Art, Art History, and Design and Visual Communication through negotiation with the course LA.
