A Hapori course is a non-curricular focused learning experience driven by student passion. Rooted in the concept of "hapori" or community, these courses empower students to explore diverse topics outside the traditional curriculum, fostering collaboration and a sense of ownership over their learning. With a focus on self-directed exploration, Hapori courses encourage students to pursue their interests, ranging from creative arts to technology and social issues. This initiative reflects our commitment to cultivating well-rounded individuals who are not only academically proficient but also deeply connected to their passions and the broader community.

I am thrilled to share an exciting announcement that promises to make this year exceptional – our venture into the renowned Showquest competition (formerly known as Stage Challenge).
While I was on leave last year, a small yet dedicated group made their mark, but brace yourselves, because this year, we are set to make it bigger and better!
Showquest is an extraordinary fusion of performing arts, encompassing dance, drama, music, culture, and technology. Our journey calls for a diverse range of talents, and we're on the lookout for passionate individuals to contribute to:
- Designing and creating costumes and props
- Choreographing and performing dance
- Building acting connections
- Crafting hair and makeup
- Creating the soundtrack
- Designing and crafting visual displays
So, if you are aged between years 5 to 13 and have an appetite for any of these, we want you on board! Our creative hub will come alive in ORANGE HAPORI, where we'll collectively bring this amazing project to life. Make sure to sign up for this class with your homebase learning advisor.
The theme that will guide our artistic endeavours in 2024 is "When I Grow Up," a captivating exploration of youth navigating their aspirations post-graduation.
