Description

In a safe and controlled environment, let's develop skills in martial arts for confidence and self-defence. Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, and a little bit of boxing and kickboxing.

This is a Hapori class and it is open to all levels to provide students the chance to have a go at grappling for fitness and learning.

It is an expectation that you take part in the class grappling/contact or you should not take part in this class.

We will learn the respect involved in interacting with our peers when conducting contact sports. In this class, you will be learning about a range of different combat options. There will be no intentional striking to harm but we will learn techniques to help develop fitness and self-defence. This is to be a safe and respected environment for people to learn at their own pace with the help of other students who may have a background in some of the disciplines. In all of these classes, you will be in physical contact with other students and/or instructors to help with technical knowledge. In most cases, you will be working with a buddy your own size.
