Welcome to Little English. This term, we'll continue with our in-depth novel study of The Girl With All The Gifts.
If you are hoping to join the class in Term 2, please see Beth, as you'll need to read up to where we are in the novel in order to participate in the class activities/discussions.
This class will involve elaborate discussions about concepts that we stumble upon in our reading, and lots of activities related to the texts we choose and our discussions. You can expect to engage in writing activities, reading activities, researching things, games and absorbing heaps of interesting material like podcasts, scientific studies, and videos. Across the term we'll have a go at becoming better readers, and we'll work together to try and transfer the love of reading that lots of us already have to some that maybe aren't so sure yet. What a cool feat that'll be.
You'll be expected to discuss things with us, and share your thoughts on what we cover and students that do this will be the ones that get the most out of this course. (Oh no, talking! But just let it happen, because it's not that bad, and you'll be all the richer for it!)
There will be a strict no devices rule in this class, unless specifically required, so please make sure you'll be able to manage yourself with this in mind.
