Tātari ā-Whare Whakawā | Forensic Science

This term we will be exploring further key science concepts in the context of Forensic Science. 

In terms of Chemistry we look at how to analyse evidence such as ink chromatography, soil samples, and arson. 

We will look at the role of Physics in car crashes. This includes concepts such forces, motion as well as the impact of environmental factors on crashes that occur. 

For our biology section, we will focus on the human body looking at how digestion works, skeletons, and the study of entomology (insects!) and how all all of these together can help forensic scientists to solve crimes.
