This class will study a range of essential films that have shaped our culture.  We will explore films from across the history of the medium and discuss the impacts they’ve had on our world.  You may have heard of many of these films but have never actually seen them - let’s change that!

We will watch several shorts and full length films to inform our discussion of:

• psychology and mental health
• gender and race
• history and art

• civil rights and social change
