WHAKAARI | DRAMA - Explore the function of theatre Aotearoa

Students taking this class will need to be working at Level 6 of the curriculum and be keen performers with some experience. Students need to be keen to work independently and as a team, contributing and negotiating ideas, as well as reliably meeting all the deadlines. 

We will use the New Zealand script, 'Peninsula' by Gary Henderson, to fully explore the function of drama - to heal, educate, entertain, or transform society.  You will be expected to demonstrate manaakitanga and be able to take responsibility for leading your own performance process.

There is a compulsory 700 word written reflection for this standard.

You will have the opportunity for assessment AS91940 Explore the function of theatre Aotearoa   5 Credits.
