This term is an assessment based unit of work where you will research and carry out a performance of “Almost Maine”.
‘One cold, clear, winter night, as the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, the residents of Almost, Maine, find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend—almost—in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.’
You will explore and develop your characters using ensemble and Stanislavski techniques. You will commit to the rehearsal process by memorising your lines by the deadlines set, attending rehearsals, and participating positively in the whole process.
You need to be comfortable in the spotlight and will be working at NCEA L2/3 curriculum levels.
