Medieval Studies

This course will focus on a number of design elements from Medieval times. We will be exploring the architecture of castles around the world, experimenting with the graphic design of Celtic Art and developing our own coat of arms through research into heraldry. Learning outcomes include progression of visual communication techniques to show shape, form, tone, colour and materiality. Students will need to be prepared to research a topic independently during class time.
