Alphabet Photography Activity
Alphabet photography, in its simplest form, is finding letters of the alphabet in the world around you and photographing them. You’ll be amazed at what you can find in ordinary everyday objects when you look hard enough. Then you put all the photographed letters together to create an alphabet.
For this project, you will go on your own scavenger hunt and photograph every letter of the alphabet. Your assignment will include all 26 letters uploaded to a gallery in your blog post.
In this course, you'll explore the foundations and conventions of photography using your phone or digital camera, exploring both the technical and artistic dimensions of photography. You'll learn how photographs are created, interpreted, and appreciated within diverse visual art contexts.
The curriculum includes an introduction to digital photographic processes, featuring Adobe Photoshop for enhancing and manipulating your images. You'll also have the opportunity to generate and refine your ideas, leading to an exhibition that showcases your best work.
Additionally, you'll experience traditional photographic techniques by producing images in the darkroom, adding a hands-on, tactile element to your learning.
