Description

Urban Explorers is designed for students eager to explore Christchurch’s culture, history, and environment through the lens of anthropology. This course invites students to apply anthropological methods—such as participant observation, ethnography, and cultural analysis—to uncover the rich tapestry of urban life in Christchurch. Students will engage with the city as anthropologists, investigating the cultural practices, historical narratives, and environmental relationships that shape the urban landscape. This course is co-taught with Megan Woods.
