Description

We will be Bouldering at Uprising. Whether you've boulded before or are a complete beginner, come along and give it a go. There is a mixture of practical and theory in this course, and lessons will be spread between the classroom, Uprising and the gym.

There are two assessments available at level 2 and a further two assessments at level 3.

Level 2

One of the level two assessments is purely practical. For this we will be bouldering at Uprising. You will have a number of lessons to 'practise' before the assessment at the end of the term. The other assessment requires you to create a two week training programme aimed to improve your performance for the bouldering practical assessment. You will complete the two weeks training and then reflect on the biophysical principles applied to the training programme. There is also an opportunity to start a social responsibility assessment which will continue throughout the school year.

91329 - 4 credits - Demonstrate understanding of how and why biophysical principles relate to the learning of physical skills

91330 - 4 credits - Perform a physical activity in an applied setting

91334 - 3 credits - Consistently demonstrate social responsibility through applying a social responsibility model in physical activity

Level 3
