To begin the term, we will focus on developing our drawing skills by working with still-life objects. Key areas of emphasis will include shading, proportion, line work, and composition.
We will also explore the rich history of art by delving into the works of influential artists and movements, including Cubism and Fauvism. Visionaries like Henri Matisse, Paul Cézanne, Pablo Picasso, and Georges Braque will inspire us as we push the boundaries of our creativity and experiment with new artistic approaches.
In addition, we will deepen our understanding of colour theory and refine our painting techniques, particularly through the lens of Fauvism and its vibrant colour combinations.
To further expand our artistic repertoire, we will experiment with various mixed-media techniques to add depth and texture to our creations.
To stay organised throughout the term, each of us will use A3 brown folders labeled with our names and home base. These folders will help us easily identify and store our work as we progress.
