5 Art Photography

In this course, you will explore photographic conventions using your phone or digital camera while gaining an understanding of how photographs are created and experienced in various contexts. Through a visual art perspective, you’ll engage in photographic practices and learn about digital processes, including Adobe Photoshop, as well as traditional darkroom techniques such as printing and film processing (time permitting). By studying the work of established artists, you’ll find inspiration and gain valuable insights to inform your creative process. The course offers the opportunity to generate and develop ideas, culminating in a body of work for submission. Additionally, if you're motivated, you can work towards earning 5 NCEA Level One credits.
