In this class you'll learn cool skills including art fundamentals, how to use a drawing tablet, how to navigate your way through industry-level art and design software, and how to create art in different styles.
We'll start with studying a novel and/or some short stories, and this will kick off the English portion of the course. Alongside this, we'll start to explore our visual language skills, and begin to create art with our stories in mind (titles, drawings, character doodles) to eventually gear us up towards developing a concept for a graphic novelisation.
This is a year-long course, and in order to gain the majority of the Visual Art credits on offer, students will need to be enrolled in the class for the full year. Learning and concept development will begin in Term 1 and this development will be necessary in completing your portfolio across the rest of the year. See Beth if you have any questions about this.
This class will require attention, a keen work ethic and the willingness and patience to engage in large art projects. If you simply must be on Tik Tok and taking selfies, this isn't the class for you!
