Description
For the first part of this term we will be looking at how the human body manages issues around being too hot or too cold, dehydrated or over-hydrated, too much sugar and not enough sugar. So, we will be investigating homeostasis - i.e. how the human body manages to maintain a stable and consistent internal environment. This will lead into a 3 credit internal.
The second part of the term we will start to work on the Practical Investigation Internal, where students (after much learning and some guidance) will have the chance to plan and carry out their own experiment. (Spoiler alert - this will not involve sharks!)
