Planning and Running your own Business

This is a year long project based course where senior students are supported to begin their own business in class. It is a chance for you to unleash your inner entrepreneur.

The aim is to get your own company up and running and to develop a range of transferable 21st century skills.

Term 1 focus:

• Form a business either individually or within groups and choose your business roles (based on interests and strengths).
• Brainstorm and choose an innovative business idea that can be realistically brought to market within the year and sold over several months.
• Business plan - Complete a lean canvas outlining key ideas for your product/ service.
• Develop a brand story for your company.
• Marketing - Research your product.
• Prototype - Build a prototype of your product and gather feedback. (Ideally, students will have a prototype made before the end of Term 1).
