Description

Human rights are continually under threat both in here and abroad.  We, the public, play a crucial role in ensuring these rights are defended. During this course, we will use past and current case studies of human rights abuses to understand what human rights are, how people seek to defend theirs and others’ rights, and what action we can take if we choose.

You can choose our case studies, which could include:

  • Child soldiers

  • The Holocaust

  • Rainbow rights

  • Racial discrimination

  • Gender discrimination

  • Human rights in our school and community

You will need an exercise book or device for notes.  A device is handy as we do a lot of online research and tasks in this class.
