This term we’ll explore organic shapes, patterns, and storytelling in art inspired by Niuean–New Zealand artist John Pule. His artworks are full of flowing lines, detailed patterns, and imaginative ideas.
Students will build their drawing skills while experimenting with shapes inspired by nature and their imagination. We’ll also learn about colour theory and explore exciting materials like watercolour, pen, and ink to create bold, layered artworks.
This course is all about experimenting, being creative, and developing your own style while learning new art techniques.
To stay organised throughout the term, each of us will use A3 brown folders labeled with our names and home base. These folders will help us easily identify and store our work as we progress.
