This is a continuation of the same course offered in Term Two.
This term, we'll begin film! We'll begin with brushing up on our film language, and choosing a film to study together. Once we've got one, we'll get into our film study. This will be a study, not a viewing, so you can expect lots of discussion and close analysis, as well as activities to accompany our learning. As this is English for artists, you can expect our activities to involve some design-y skills and to continue building on the learning we did in Term 2.
If you've been in my classes, you'll know that I'm a big fan of discussions and sharing thoughts and opinions, so that our conversations are valuable for everyone. As a result of this, you'll be expected to talk to me and to your classmates! Sharing your thoughts on what we cover will mean you get lots out of this class, and it'll also prepare you for English classes as you get older (wiser) and wrinklier (more surface area).
