This term we will be learning about fitness and training to improve fitness. The theory lessons will focus on what is fitness, short and long term adaptations to training, energy systems, how to train, FITT principles and writing training programmes. The assessment will be focused around reflection on the training programme.
The practical lessons will involve fitness testing, experiencing a variety of training methods and writing a personal training programme. You will experience a wide range of training sessions including weight training gyms, group fitness, aerobic training, speed training, plyometrics and small sided games.
You need to be prepared to bring appropriate training gear, work out with effort and relish the challenge of growing your fitness capacity.
