45MĀO Te Reo Juniors
For those who wish to learn the basics of Te Reo Māori.
Students have learnt kupu/words in so they can understand and put them into sentence structures;
- Say their Pepeha with confidence,
- Recognised and say colours,
- Understand and translate place words,
- Understand te whanau (know family words ie. sister or brother) to add to their pepeha.
- Count in te reo Maori from One to the Millions.
- Noun words; people, nature, transport, buildings/rooms of buildings, animals, things we use,
- Describing words,
- All pronouns
We will continue to USE Te Reo Māori kupu/words in rerenga kōrero/sentences;
- Karakia,
- Whakataukī,
- Pepeha; hapū &/or iwi, whānau, parents, siblings,
- Tauparapara,
- Mihimihi,
- Revise basic words fluently.
