Term 2:
This term, we will explore mixed media and printmaking techniques while incorporating human subjects into our artwork. Through this journey, we aim to develop our artistic skills and generate creative ideas.
We will begin by honing our drawing abilities, including shading, proportion, line, composition, and mixed media techniques. Our subjects for study will involve developing a cosplay character or Manga role play using various methods such as photography, photocopying, mixed media (pattern/collage/mono printing), dry point ink/ etching, and lino cut print.
To keep our work organized, we will use A3 brown folders with our name and home base on them.
Additionally, we will explore the works of two prominent artists, Henry Matisse and Jim Dine. Matisse's diverse body of work will inspire us, while Dine's charcoal drawings will help us develop our drawing skills further.
