Description

What do we really value and how does this affect our behaviour?  How do people take action on issues they care about, and what effect do they have?

Level One and Two: Get to know yourself as you explore what you value, what other people value, and which values and behaviours will work to sustain the Earth.  Use a case study of your choice, such as the School Strike for Climate, the Dakota Pipeline or Ihumātau to see how people have fought to protect their rights to a sustainable future. If time, we will spend a week on an introduction economics (micro/business level and macro/government level), which we missed out in term one.

Level Three: Choose to create a sustainability strategy for an organisation of your choice (school, your work, your parent's work..) or start working on a personal action towards a sustainable future.

Check out the overview for a list of the ncea standards on offer this term.
