7 ENG - Surprised by Joy

This English course is an exploration of texts that celebrate the joy that can be found in day to day life as students work towards gaining their NCEA Level Two qualification in English. Texts explored will include short films, poetry and stories. You are welcome to share your favourite texts with the class, as well as working with the texts provided.  This term we will continue to work on writing for the folio (Achievement Standard 2.4 6 credits) and work on the Information Literacy assessment (Achievement Standard 2.7 4 credits). We will also start doing some preparatory work for the external examination at the end of the year.
