Description

Are you interested in what is fair and not fair? As a consumer, you have great power. Beginning with rights and responsibilities, we'll answer the following questions:

  • What are your rights if your brand new phone breaks or your banana is bruised?
  • How did the company who sold you your banana or phone persuade you to buy it?
  • What do you know about the people who made your phone or picked your banana?
  • What impact is your phone or banana having on the environment?
  • Should you care?

With the general election coming up in October, we will spend the last few weeks of term looking into our responsibility as citizens to vote.  As part of this we will consider who the major parties are, and how they persuade us to vote for them.  In groups, you will get to create a party of your own, complete with televised party political broadcast.

You will need a device or an exercise book and something to write with.

Please note that Kate is away for the first two weeks of term, but she will leave lots of activities for you to do with a reliever.
