7 ENGLISH Surprised by Joy

This English course is an exploration of texts that celebrate the joy that can be found in day to day life as students work towards gaining their NCEA Level Two qualification in English. Texts explored will include short films, poetry and stories. You are welcome to share your favourite texts with the class, as well as working with the texts provided.  This term we will continue to work on writing for the folio (Achievement Standard 2.4 6 credits) and students will be given the opportunity to prepare for external examinations in NCEA English, as well as completing internal assessments begun earlier in the year. New students are welcome to this course if they are looking for NCEA English credits.
