In Toi Hāpori during terms 3 and 4 we will be exploring specific art work in Ōtautahi Christchurch. We hope to find inspiration from contemporary and historic artists within the city. We will explore different galleries, local architecture, sculpture and street art. The Hāpori sessions will be divided into visits to local venues and work on art pieces inspired by these visits. Opportunities to explore and develop in photography, drawing, print making, painting, fashion design and sculpture are all available. Be prepared to venture outside -weather permitting- each week! Students should bring a phone/camera and a sketch book and pencil to each session. Students working on NCEA portfolio or self-directed Arotahi projects should speak with Richard or Vicky before enrolling.
