Description
NUMBER - all those essential skills to be numerate -
Decimals, fractions, percentages, GST, huge numbers, minute numbers, BEDMAS – we will be consolidating the basics and
learning some new skills to solve problems related to rates and ratios, compound interest, standard form and significant figures. Problems will relate to real life situations.
MEASUREMENT -
We all use some sort of Measurement in our lives whether it's time,
temperature, distance, weight, capacity, area or volume. We will review the skills learnt at Level 4 and learn some new ones.
Calculator use is an important part of both topics so every student needs a scientific or graphics calculator. A quad exercise book is also required.
