Description

TRIGONOMETRY gives us a way to relate the lengths of a triangle's sides with the triangle's angles.
It has applications in navigation, astronomy, music, surveying and building.
The topic will cover calculations involving right angled and non - right angled triangles.
It is assessed by a 3 credit internal.

THEN

PROBABILITY METHODS - an essential topic for anyone planning to study Level 3 Statistics.
The topic expands on the Level 1 content and introduces probabilities using the Normal Distribution - a method that many statisticians use in research, commerce and industry.
This is assessed by a 4 credit external.

A scientific or graphics calculator is essential for both topics.

Level 2 Mathematics is a significant step up from Level 1 and will require commitment and hard work.
