Event Management from a Geographic Perspective

This course is an introduction to Geography and the sort of jobs that a Geographer can do. We will be looking at the City to Surf or Christchurch Marathon as an event that requires planning and decision making around the social and environmental impacts that this event has on the city. If you want, you could also sign up for a 10k, half marathon or even a full marathon run.

Assessment will come from AS91428 Analyse a significant contemporary event from a geographic perspective (3 Credits at Level 3) and if you want to try running the event, you can gain some PE credits as well.
