Mātauranga tau | Number

Term one will all be about levelling up and applying our number skills. We will do this through a mix of activities designed to practise basics and challenge through problem solving. (Fermi style questions are a favourite of mine) 

You will need an E5 maths workbook and a scientific calculator (something that allows you to solve things like 6.3 X 10⁵⁶ X 2.1 X 10^-12)

In this course Tauira will:

• Use prime numbers, common factors and multiples, and powers (including square roots)
• Understand operations on fractions, decimals, percentages, and integers
• Practise order of operations
• Use standard form
