Note that levels 4 and 5 are intended to be two year programmes.
What are the odds of winning lotto? Powerball? Am I better off putting that money in the bank? Why is it so hard to roll a double six when playing the chocolate game? (What is the chocolate game? Is this something that people used to play before smart-phones took all of our time?) If I have 2 children and they're both boys then my next child should be a girl, right! .... right?
These questions and many more will be answered as we explore probability - the mathematics of chance! We will investigate probability through games, experiments and animations. There will also be good old-fashioned problem solving so please bring a maths exercise book for this class i.e. a 1J5 or 1E8, and a pen..
