In this course, learners will strengthen core number skills while exploring patterns and relationships in meaningful, real-world contexts. Learning is hands-on and responsive, with visual thinking, practical activities, and manipulatives used when helpful. Learners are supported in building confidence and fluency while developing a deeper understanding by explaining their thinking and making connections between ideas.

Learning is guided by learner voice and choice, with lessons designed to balance skill development, curiosity, and challenge. Games, collaboration, and discussion support engagement, while regular check-ins help identify progress and next steps. Opportunities for extension allow learners to stretch their thinking and explore ideas in greater depth.

You will need a Math book and pencil case including pencil, rubber and ruler and anything else you like using.
