Introduction to Algebra, Numeracy Test and Mental Maths.

This class will introduce you to Algebra at Level 5 of the Curriculum. We will look at basic algebra skills that allow you to manipulate and solve equations with letters instead of numbers. This is going to be good preparation for NCEA Level 1 and beyond. Jess Dewhurst may be teaching some lessons.

Week 7 and 8 will focus on preparation for the new NCEA Numeracy co-requisite at Level 5 of the curriculum. However, the learning will still be relevant to you if you are not sitting this assessment in Week 8 or later this year.

The last two weeks of the term will cover some Mental Maths, accompanied by workbook chapters.
