Description

This course is for those wishing to achieve NCEA national achievement standards within a yearlong visual art making program. We will start by establishing a series of drawings around a theme. You will use a mixture of dry to wet media such as pencil, charcoal, ink and paint., collage, photography. This unit is due at the beginning of term two.

Homework is expected weekly and a consistent work approach is recommended for best results.

Your will need: An A4 clear file folder, 1 A3 folder to store your art work in and both named with your home base on them. A pen or a pencil.

Prior learning: You need to be able to have basic drawing skills and be interested in achieving weekly art making goals.

NB: Your work will be assessed formatively during each class with your art teacher and Summative – at the end of each unit of work. Extensions must be negotiated with your teacher prior to due assessment date and are given only for a reasonable cause.
