Document outlining 2024/2025 Mathematics plan.
Note that levels 4 and 5 are intended to be two year programmes.
This term we will be working on the Level 1 standard "1.4 Demonstrate Mathematical Reasoning." This is a 5 credit external that will be assessed in an end of year exam. If you are planning to do Level 7 mathematics then this standard is essential to set you up for success next year.
This standard covers all of the maths! There could be questions covering measurement, trigonometry and number skills but probably more of a focus on algebra and graphing. So, our focus will be on algebra but we will revisit the other skills to make sure they are still "front of brain!"
To be successful in this course you will need to turn up to every class with a maths exercise book, a pen, and a scientific calculator.
There is a lot of material to cover this term so be prepared to work on your maths outside of class also!
